The Ministry of Justice has published an open consultation which anyone can respond to, on the subject of adding Claimant Data to the public Register. This consultation is only relevant to England and Wales, as the other jurisdictions already publish claimant data. The government is seeking public views on the proposal to amend the law, which would allow the name of the claimant to be added to the judgment record on the Register. The consultation aims to gather opinions on the benefits of including claimant names on the Register. We’re aware of the many benefits to making this change, and would urge active participation in this important consultation, so we can see this long-awaited improvement take place. The consultation closes at 11:59 pm on January 16, 2024.

Together, we can make a significant impact in shaping the future of the register and enabling better data-driven decision making.
